Wairau Plains Gravel Bed Rivers Field Trip
Friday 29 November
Meet at: Marlborough Events Centre
Time: 8.45am for a 9am departure
$100+GST pp

Following the path of the mighty Wairau River downstream, you will learn how the Wairau River and aquifer interact.
The Wairau has been one of the case studies for the Gravel Bed Rivers Project, which will conclude this year after 4 years of research. Learn from researchers and local experts about how flood protection and gravel supply impact aquifer recharge processes in the Wairau.
The Wairau Plains trip will have an optional airport drop-off at 3:30 pm, and conclude back at the Marlborough Events Centre.

Te Hoiere Catchment Restoration Field Trip
Friday 29 November
Meet at: Marlborough Events Centre
Time: 8.45am for a 9am departure
$95+GST pp
Join us on a trip through the beautiful Te Hoiere/Pelorus catchment, where we will make a number of stops to learn about both hydrological studies and restoration activities taking place in the catchment.
On the way back to Blenheim, we’ll swing by a winery - it wouldn’t be a trip to Marlborough without a wine tasting!
Planned arrival time at the airport is 3:30 pm after which the trip will conclude back at the Marlborough Events Centre.
